K-pop fans and MyDays have a lot to be happy about. The live production company, Subkulture, announced that they would be bringing JYP Entertainment artist DAY6 to North America this fall. This will be the group’s first official tour in North America.

In 2014 JYP Entertainment announced that they would be debuting a 5-member group tentatively called 5Live. The members of the group were Jae, Young K, Junhyeok, and Wonpil. When Dowoon was added as a drummer to the group, they were renamed DAY6. The group officially debuted in 2015 with the song Congratulations off of the album, The Day.

In February 2016, JYP Entertainment stated that Junhyeok left the band due to personal reasons and terminated his contract with the company. DAY6 has since continued as a five-member band. In 2017, the group completed a successful North American fan meet tour and released their second full-length album, Moonrise, as a conclusion to their Every Day6 project.

I don’t know much about DAY6, though I did enjoy their performance during KCON NY 2016. Watching people play instruments well is always exciting. It makes me want to get up and dance.
