Leading up to the always extra hyped up Super Bowl is a ten-day long celebration of music, food, and fun activities called ‘Super Bowl LIVE’. This year, the event is taking place at the Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis. Celebrations will include activities, food, and of course, a concert series which will feature none other than former EXO member Kris Wu.
Kris will be taking the stage on February 3rd, the day before the official Super Bowl game, and he will be performing at 4 PM CST. The concert is free and will feature a wide variety of artists, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. While it may seem unusual to have a former K-pop, now C-pop star in the lineup at an event being held for American football fans, it’s not too surprising considering Kris’ past activities such as playing in the NBA All-Star Celebrity game in 2016. Fans overwhelming support was surprising when Kris played in that game. I hope he gets the same level of hype for the concert series this time around, but something tells me fans will be sure to attend.
The rapper has been showing up more and more lately, with a new collab song and video called ’18’ that dropped recently, an appearance with Sean Evens from the popular YouTube channel First We Feast, and a video on his channel for the song ‘B.M’ that came out last month. Kris has been busy, showing us that he is still dedicated to his work and ready to share his music with the world. Here is to his continued success and be sure to check out the full schedule of festivities for the Super Bowl LIVE event.
Are you still a fan of Kris since his departure from EXO? If you’re going to be in the Minneapolis area be sure to stop by and catch him on stage! Tell us what you think about his recent work in the comments below!
