All Access Production announced via their social media that the 32nd Golden Disc Awards in Manila had been canceled and moved back to South Korea. Originally confirmed to take place on January 10-11, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, the event was canceled due to the local investor’s “failure to comply with responsibilities to the owner of the original Golden Disc Awards Ceremony, JTBC Plus”.
The production company released a statement via their Facebook that goes into detail behind the cancellation.
“Local production teams, – LUMOS E&M together with All Access Production, have tried to solve the issues revolving the event but all organizing partners have agreed to move the event back to Korea for a more successful show.”
The Golden Disc Awards is an award show that began in 1986 which highlights outstanding achievement in the music industry in South Korea. The event was reported to have up to 28 international artists to attend the awards show, something that fans were extremely happy about.
