BoA is back with another stunning single. Suave, mature, and yet oh-so-relatable, the song is captivating from start to finish.
A close look at the lyrics will convey a story that far too many broken hearts know– one of hiding a part of yourself until you know the other well enough to truly open up.
The message is further conveyed in the MV, where BoA is first introduced as the seductive lady in red who lures us in, but her costume and surrounding background imagery becomes mangled and indiscernible to a point where we’re not sure which of the outfits truly shows the real BoA.
“Out of all the images of me
That countlessly changed
There’s only one that is for you
The hidden camouflage”
The song was composed by:
- Harvey Mason Jr. (who also produced songs for the likes of Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, and Justin Timberlake)
- Britt Burton (a singer-songwriter who was behind Jessie J’s ‘Masterpiece’, and acts like Fifth Harmony and The Wanted)
- Kevin Randolph (a keyboardist who has worked with Jay-Z, Drake, and Rihanna to name a few).
It was produced by the R&B duo, The Underdogs, of which Harvey Mason Jr. is a part of, alongside Damon Thomas.
Give the song a listen, and let us know if you’ve missed BoA as much as we have!
